Mr. Virgilio R. Pou de Castro is one of the Founding Partners and Managing Partner of Pou & Velázquez. He graduated from the Pedro Henríquez Ureña University in 1978. He has completed various diplomas in topics such as real estate law, civil procedure, intellectual property, among others.

 

During his first years of practice, he worked at the law firm of Lic. Cesar de Castro Guerra y Asociados, among distinguished professionals of the time. Subsequently, in 1985, he became independent and founded the firm Pou de Castro, Abogados, until 1998, when it was merged with the Machado Law Firm to form the firm Pou & Velázquez, Abogados y Consultores.

 

Being a leader in its area, its professional practice focuses on the areas of litigation, civil, banking, administrative, corporate, and arbitration law. In his more than 40 years of practice, Mr. Pou de Castro has stood out for his extensive knowledge and capacity, participating in some of the emblematic transactions of recent years.

 

Mr. Pou de Castro is a member of the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic, as well as the College of Notary Publics of the Dominican Republic.
