Dr. Manuel Porfirio Velázquez Arredondo is one of the founding partners of Pou & Velázquez. He graduated from the Universidad Central del Este in 1985. He completed various diplomas in real estate law, civil procedure and air law.

 

After graduating, he worked at the firm of renowned attorney José Manuel Machado, Bufete Machado, where he rose to managing partner.

 

In 1998, Dr. Velázquez and Mr. Pou de Castro decided to merge their respective firms, in order to create an innovative law firm called Pou & Velázquez, Abogados y Consultores.

 

Dr. Velázquez has extensive experience in corporate business practice, serving on the Board of Directors of the Dominican Savings and Loan Association.

 

His professional practice covers the areas of corporate, banking, trademark, company and air law.

 

Dr. Velázquez is a member of the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic, as well as the College of Notaries of the Dominican Republic.
