Mr. Jean Marco Pou Fernández has a Law Degree from the Ibero-American University (UNIBE), with a Specialty in Commercial Diplomacy from the Higher Education Institute for Diplomatic and Consular Training “Dr. “Eduardo Latorre Rodríguez”. In addition, Mr. Pou has completed the High Management Potential Program (PAP) at BARNA Management School and is studying the Master's Degree in Business Transaction Law at the OMG Institute. His academic experience also includes more than 35 courses, diplomas, and workshops, on topics such as the new Asset Forfeiture Law, Public-Private Alliances, Corporate Law, the Theory and Practice of Public Contracting, the Moral Foundations of Politics, Tourism Law, International Commercial Contracts, Energy Diplomacy, International Arbitration and Corporate Governance, among others.
Likewise, he is a graduate of the prestigious Young Lawyers of the Americas for the Rule of Law programs, the Center for the Advancement of the Rule of Law in the Americas at Georgetown University (CAROLA-Georgetown) and the Generation L Program: Marking Leaders the Difference of the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), among others.
His professional experience combines private practice, as a litigator and consultant in national firms, with public service, specifically with experience in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, where he worked for three years in the coordination of relations between the Dominican Government. and the United Nations Organizations (UN) and the Organization of American States (OAS), among other international organizations, and I collaborate in the promotion of Dominican interests before said high bodies.
He also serves as President of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic, and Executive Director of the Dominican-Belgian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism (BelCham-RD), from where he seeks to promote cultural, commercial and diplomatic relations with the Union. European (EU). In this capacity, he represents the Dominican Republic before the European Business Organization (EBO).
At the same time, it is necessary to highlight Lic. Pou is Legal Champ of Global Shapers Santo Domingo, and member of the Logistics Hub Board in the National Trade Facilitation Committee (CNFC), the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) , the Young Exporters Chapter of the Dominican Association of Exporters (ADOEXPO), the Latin American Arbitration Association (ALARB), YoungICC and Young Leaders of the Americas, among others.
Mr. Pou has been recognized as part of "People to Watch" by Mercado Magazine's "40 Under 40", and is an active columnist, publishing writings on contemporary issues in Listín Diario, Periódico Digital Acento, El Mitin, among others. .
